Hello Sarita,

Wanted to let you know how our girl Maddi is doing. Our son has been running her in AKC junior level hunt
tests. She is a wonderful dog and we are very pleased with her.

Thank you again for the opportunity to have such a wonderful girl. Take care and talk to you soon.

Brodie took 1st in the Qual today.  So now he has all of the Qual placements; 1st – 4th as well as an RJ.  The
judges talked to Ben and just gushed over him.  They said that he was OPEN dog material and it wasn’t even a
close contest.

Thanks for a wonderful breeding – it takes heart, guts and dedication to stick to breeding in this game and
economic climate – way to go!  Ben was absolutely thrilled at “his” dog!

I know you guys already know that Flint won the trial today, he had a 2nd place at Costal Bend, so he is now
Qualified for the National!  Very exciting.  Thanks for the great dog!

Sarita:

Just a quick update on Blake.

Attached is a photo from his recent vacation on Dauphin Island, AL. He is a wonderful companion and quite a
hunter with great energy and style. I am sure you are familiar with the great enthusiasm and heart your labs
have. Like his father Biscuit, he is quite a prancer and leaper, and loves an audience during a workout!

I have a few more photos I will send you shortly. Thank you Sarita and Bill for all you do to provide such
wonderful companions. I am the one who has, "hit the lottery!"

Hey, Mrs. Sarita.  No problem.  I'm very happy for y'all and it's always nice to hear good things happening to good
people.  Yes ma'am.  Beans is a big girl (I think she is either the biggest or next to biggest dog on Clay's truck.)
for sure.  She is steadily improving and it's always fun to run her or watch her run.  It looks like she will be an
excellent blind runner.  I think she is a great marker.  I do know she is steadily improving on her marks.  She
puts her face on most of them.  Currently Clay is teaching her the rules around the water and she does appear
to be very smart.  She appears to like to do the work enough and I believe @ the end of this month she will be a
new dog.  @ the end of June I believe she will be a new dog still.  Clay really likes her and thinks she could be a
good one.  So far, I love the progress that Clay has made and how Miss Beans is taking everything in stride.
This is certainly the best group of young dogs Clay has had and I think Beans is clearly the best of the bunch.
Needless to say, I'm giddy about the situation I have going with her.  I think we are going to wait until they make
the summer trip before we run her.  I truly believe she will be a very nice dog then.  Ya never know with these
young dogs, but we think we have something with her.

Hello Sarita!
How are you? I wanted to touch bases and let you know how Pilot and Nash are doing. I saw that you have some
nice photos of the two boys on your web page!
Nash is a super star with his Task Force in Nevada. His handler Justin and he are going to take their FEMA Type
1 test in June, here in Southern California. Nash has developed in to a tremendous search dog and I am very
proud of how he is doing!
Pilot is now with Utah Task Force and is paired with a firefighter. I will see them in April when they meet me for
training in Las Vegas. Pilot has been a great addition their Task Force and because of him, they have asked me
to train them 3 more dogs this year!
You should be very proud of your boys, they have a great work ethic, temperament and drive. Nash lives with
two small children and he is the most gentle and sweet boy with them you can imagine. Pilot goes every day to
the fire station with his handler and is spoiled with all the guys there!
Angelina told me that you are going to put some more pictures of the boys up on your website. Pilot's handler is
a professional photographer as well as a firefighter so I will have him send you some photos.
If you could include me as their trainer as well I would appreciate it!
My website is www.mtnviewdt.com and I have a Facebook page under Mountain View Dog Training. Please
check it out!
Hope all is well with you, Bill and the dogs!
Take care,
Sheila

Hi Sarita,

My name is Fitzgerald (Fitz) Petersen and I am a fire captain in Salt Lake County. My department is called the
Unified Fire Authority. I am also a K9 handler for Utah Task Force 1 here in the Salt Lake Valley. I've had Pilot
since Thanksgiving of last year. I was asked by Angelina to send you an email and tell you how he is doing.

He is truly a beautiful dog while working or at home. In my system he goes to work with me (48 hours) and loves
the fire station as much as home. He has passed his FSA in January and will probably test for our CE in May in
Ohio (dependent on funding). He is a great resource for FEMA and I now know he was your lab so I wanted to
thank you. I am a 20 year fire captain but a new K9 handler. Pilot as far as I'm concerned is teaching me, and he's
doing a great job.

Sincerely,

Hi Sarita,
Sorry it has been so long since my last email.  Rizzo is doing
wonderfully, and is a huge part of our family.  She is progressing
both in training and as our inside companion.  She is still very
petite, but what an athlete!  She is having a great time getting along
with our other pets including my male you see in the photo.  To me she
looks extremely like Shorty, and is so beautiful.  As you can tell, I
could not be more happy with her.  Thank you so much again!  Hope all
is well with the McKnights!

Hi Sarita,

I thought you would like an update on Jones as he turns 11 months old tomorrow.

He is definitely a keeper.  He is still with Carol.  She is also training 5 pups from the NFC Chopper X NFC Windy
litter and Jones has more than kept up with them.  She says this is by far the best crop of pups she has ever
trained.

He is a pin point marker and is doing credible blinds.  He is doing tight doubles very well.  He is still squaring
the water but does not avoid it.  Once he gets through swim bys, I am sure the squaring will be cleaned up.
Carol is waiting for warmer water to put the pups through swim by.  Unfortunately, she has to go Oakdale to help
out LuAnn while she convalesces from surgery, so it will be a while until they get done.

Thanks for the great pup.

Hi Sarita
Thank you for the update. I am in no way surprised. Covey is smart, fast, pretty tough and very happy. She is
clearly best dog I have owned. She is, unfortunately, also bored as I fell hunting this year and tore up both legs.
Walking is still a chore. But I have been doing drills to teach her to go where sent and I hope to start retired
guns soon and will run her in the qual. I get way too nervous but the  only hope for fixing that is experience.

Very cold and wind here. Both Dinah and Covey are at my feet and we all...Robin too... send our best to you, Bill
and the dogs. Like I have said once before, my only complaint about Moonstone dogs is that I am getting too old
to get another one! But.....

Hi all,

Just learned that Brodie (JackCreek’s Sunrise Explosion of Moonstone) took Reserve Jam in the Qual at the
SanDiego Retriever Filed Trial Club’s FT in Niland, CA this weekend.  This was Brodie’s 2nd time running a FT
(only his 3rd running ANY type of competition).  He did awesome work on Saturday’s series but battled 35 mph
wind gusts on water marks in his last series – he was the ONLY dog to get any type of placement who ran during
the wind gusts.

Needless to say, we are very PROUD of our boy.  Special thanks goes to Bill Totten for working with him these
past few months and to the McKnight’s (Moonstone Labradors) for breeding this super boy!

I hope the news is even better from his next test in Red Bluff, CA on February 4th.

Hi Sarita,
Just wanted to drop you a note. We love our girl. She is wonderful, full of a lot of energy, and very smart. We
were going to compete in the senior hunt test last weekend and this weekend but she came into heat. Will have
to work on that title later, probably next spring. Thank you for such for a wonderful dog.

Hello Sarita and Bill, wanted to send you a picture of Maddi and give you an update. She is a little peanut.
Wonderful personality. Super smart and a quick study.  No lack of retrieving desire. Extremely pleased with her.
Thanks again for the opportunity. I will be in touch as time goes on. Hope your trial and training season has
went well.

Hey guys,

Wow, what a dog Koda has turned out to be. I’m easily doing 100-150 yard marks with him and his lining to them
is perfect even with minor obstacles(a branch here and there) in the way. He even listens to our daughter
telling him to sit and to come. I couldn’t have been happier with him. I’ll keep you guys updated as spring comes.

Thanks again,

Robin and I enjoyed meeting you. We have had no less than 3 retrievers in our home since 1974. That means we
have dealt with a fair number of breeders. You are easily the best we have ever dealt with and the most
enjoyable.

I am friends with Rick and Kristi W. and looked at your website today.  You have a beautifully designed,
informative and complete site.  In reading every page I can tell your dogs are not just dogs but an intrinsic part
of your life.  I feel the same way about ours.  God bless you for donating a kidney to your husband and I would
imagine that is why you two met in the first place.  Thanks for taking the time to read my note.

I have researched different breeders everwhere and have found your program to be on par with and above all
of the other top breeders that I can find of Labs. Being that I am now in Montana it makes that much more sense
to find a Lab close to me so that it wouldnt have to be shipped and also that I could make face to face contact
with the breeder which is very important, I think.     Richard Green, Professor, University of Montana
